President's Message

Welcome to the IRWA Chapter 9 Web site. We’re delighted you’ve chosen to visit our site today and hope you’ll explore it to learn more about our organization and what we can do for you. You’ll find our complete membership directory to help you contact other professionals in your area, as well as the latest information on the educational and professional development programs we offer.

The IRWA and its member chapters are the only entities developed exclusively to serve the educational and continuing development needs of right of way and land acquisition professionals. We welcome anyone who is principally engaged in the acquisition, management or disposition of property in connection with community, regional or national improvements, highways, flood control projects, public utility construction, pipelines, railroads or other public development activity.

To be proficient in this complex profession requires extensive understanding of the fields of appraisal, engineering, law, negotiation, public relations, property management and public service administration. As a member of IRWA Chapter 9, you’ll receive cutting-edge solutions to industry challenges in all those areas through specialized education courses and seminars, a program of professional development, and thought-provoking forums for the exchange and advancement of ideas.

We promote high standards and a Code of Ethics among our members so that we can each render our full potential of service to the employers or clients we serve. We welcome you to IRWA Chapter 9 and look forward to working with you.
